Capsicum Tambuli | ದೊಣ್ಣೆ ಮೆಣಸಿನ ಕಾಯಿ ತಂಬುಳಿ

This is one of the first few recipes that I learnt from my Mother-In-Law. I knew Doddapatre Tambuli but Capsicum Tambuli was very new to me.
If you haven't tried this one, do give it a try. This is one of our family favorites & tastes great with Rice & Saaru/Rasam
HOW TO MAKE CAPSICUM TAMBULI
Serves 4-5
You Will Need:
- 2 Medium Sized Green Capsicum - Diced
- 2 tablespoons of Oil
- 1 or 2 Green Chillies
- 2 Cups Yogurt
- Salt
To Grind:
- 1/4 Cup Coconut
- 1.5 Teaspoons Cumin Seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Whole Black Pepper
To Temper:
- 1 tablespoon Oil Or Ghee
- 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 2 Dry Red Chilies
- 4-5 Curry Leaves
How To:
In a Pan, heat Oil, Add Green Capsicum & green Chillies. Sauté until the capsicum pieces soften
Transfer into a Mixie Jar.
In the Same Pan, Heat a teaspoon of Oil, Roast Cumin Seeds & Black Pepper until aromatic.
Add this into the mixer jar along with grated coconut. Add A ladleful of yogurt & some salt & grind into a smooth paste
Decant into a bowl. Add the remaining yogurt. Check for salt & mix well.
Temper with Mustard seeds, Dry Red Chilies & curry Leaves & give it a good mix
Serve With Rice & Saaru
